Name: Edgar Charles, M.D.

Institution: The Rockefeller University

E-mail Address: charlee@rockefeller.edu

Area of interest:
We're investigating the pathogenesis of hepatitis C virus-related B cell Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). We've identified a set of differentially regulated genes among clonally-expanded B cells isolated from HCV+ patients with B-NHL, and we would like to collaborate with other groups to characterize these B cells' molecular requirements for activation and proliferation.

Name: Joseph C. Sun, Ph.D.

Institution: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

E-mail Address: sunj@mskcc.org

Area of interest:
Using knockout mouse models, we are interested in studying the NK cell response against virally infected and transformed cells. Mouse cytomegalovirus is a well-characterized model of infection where NK cells are crucial for virus clearance. The B16 melanoma model is one where NK cells play an important role in control of the growth and metastasis of transplanted tumor cells.
